1. General Terms and Conditions

Expomatto.fi is an online store maintained by Expomatto Oy, where Expomatto Oy (Business ID 0696597-0) acts as the seller. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions without separate notice. Each order will be subject to the terms and conditions that were in effect at the time the order was placed.

The seller is not liable for any direct or indirect damages to products or customers that are caused by a force majeure situation, or an insurmountable obstacle. An insurmountable obstacle is considered to be an unforeseeable factor or a change in circumstances that is beyond the seller’s control and which the seller cannot reasonably overcome. The seller is obligated to inform the customer about the insurmountable obstacle as soon as possible.

We comply with the regulations of the Consumer Protection Act (20.1.1978/38). If the buyer is a business, other agreed-upon purchase terms or the Finnish Sale of Goods Act will be applied.

2. Parties

Customer refers to a person who places an order from the online store. A customer relationship takes effect when the customer has:

  • accepted these terms and conditions and placed an order by confirming it, and
  • paid for their order in the manner they chose or confirmed the order according to the instructions provided.

The seller is Expomatto Oy (“expomatto.fi”). The seller’s contact information is provided below. Expomatto reserves the right to select its customers.

3. Ordering

After you complete your order, we’ll confirm it by sending an order confirmation to the email address you provided. Please carefully check the order confirmation to ensure it matches the order you placed. If your order contains multiple products, they may be shipped at different times depending on their status. We aim to state each product’s status as accurately as possible on the product page. If your order includes pre-sale products, they will be shipped according to the estimated delivery date on the product page and may arrive in a separate delivery from other items.

We reserve the right to cancel or change an order if a product is sold out. If a product is out of stock, we will inform you as soon as possible. Our primary goal is to offer a similar product as a replacement. You can choose to accept this new offer or cancel your order partially or completely.

In the event of a significant spelling or printing error in an advertisement or the online store, we reserve the right to unilaterally cancel the order. This also applies to orders for which an order confirmation has already been sent. Expomatto has the right to make changes to orders up until the goods have been shipped from our warehouse.

4. Products & Prices

All prices include value-added tax (VAT). Costs for the customer’s chosen delivery and payment methods will be added to the prices; these will be shown before you accept the order.

Products are sold at the prices, delivery costs, and payment surcharges that were valid in the online store at the time the order was placed. This excludes cases where a clear pricing error has been observed. The seller reserves the right to limit or refuse to sell products in exceptionally large quantities or due to a pricing error.

Product returns that are a result of incorrect information on the product page must be reported to us within a reasonable time after you receive the order.

Expomatto is not responsible for information or promises made on the manufacturer’s websites. Please note that product images may differ from the actual product offered.

5. Payment Methods

The Expomatto online store uses payment services provided by Paytrail Oyj. This includes online banking buttons for all Finnish banks as well as debit and credit cards. The payment methods available at the time of your order are shown on the order form.

You will be asked for various contact details, such as your name and phone number, as required by the payment method you choose. Any payment method surcharge is determined by the method you select. The final price is always visible before you confirm the order.

6. Delivery Methods

The average order processing time is 1-2 business days from the payment and confirmation of the order. After processing, the shipping time is normally 1-4 business days, but this depends on our shipping partner and your location. Shipping time can also vary depending on the chosen delivery method or the product ordered. We aim to ship orders placed by 11:00 AM on weekdays on the same day. Orders placed after 11:00 AM, on weekends, or on public holidays are aimed to be shipped on the next business day. The delivery time stated on our website is an estimate based on the average delivery time of the product and does not account for changing factors like alterations or scheduling made by the transport company. We reserve the right to the accuracy of our delivery estimates.

We will deliver your order using your chosen delivery method. The available delivery methods are visible at checkout before you accept the order. We reserve the right to change the delivery method or mode of transport if we believe it improves the service or if the chosen method cannot be used for the order. We are not responsible for changes made to the delivery by the transport company.

We are responsible for product damage during transport until the order has been handed over to the buyer. Please note that for freight and parcel deliveries, the risk of damage transfers to the buyer once the delivery has been handed over. The buyer is also responsible for moving the items into their residence. The buyer must be present to receive the order, and the driver may require a personal ID to be shown before handing over the delivery. Expomatto is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages caused by a third-party transport company during delivery.

For large pallet shipments by volume or weight, the aim is to deliver the order as close as possible to the front door, or at least to a yard with unobstructed access. Indoor delivery or installation service is an additional service and is not included in standard freight delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a large delivery truck has unobstructed access to the yard. If weather conditions, the road’s condition, a narrow road, or any other factor prevents the truck from reaching the immediate vicinity of the front door, the order will be handed over at the nearest possible location. The liability for damage transfers to the customer after the delivery has been handed over.

7. Delivery Delays

If a product delivery is delayed from the average delivery time, we will try to inform you as quickly as possible. If the delay is caused by a third party (a “transport company”), we may not receive separate information about it. In this case, we recommend that you contact the transport company’s customer service directly.

If your order contains multiple products, they may be shipped at different times depending on their status. We aim to state the product status on the product page as accurately as possible based on the information we have at the time. If your order includes products that were on pre-sale, they will be shipped according to the estimate on the product page and may arrive in a separate delivery from other items. The stated arrival date for pre-ordered products is the best possible estimate based on current information. However, this may change and/or be specified later. For significant changes to the estimated delivery date, we will try to inform you as quickly as possible.

We are not responsible for delays or loss of an order caused by an unforeseeable and insurmountable force majeure obstacle from a third party. We are not responsible for damages or errors caused by a third party.

8. Return Policy

Customers have a right of cancellation and return in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. This right of return applies only to sold products. Completed installation work or other similar additional services do not have a right of cancellation.

The right of return and cancellation is valid for 14 days from the date of receiving the product.

A cancellation notice must be sent to Expomatto’s customer service without delay. In addition, a completed return form must be included with the returned shipment. Without the return form, we cannot attribute the return to your order.

Returned products must be unchanged and their resale value must not have diminished. Expomatto has the right to compensation if a product has been used in a way that diminishes its resale value, or if its sales packaging or contents are damaged. It is the customer’s responsibility to pack the products in the same way they were received and to ensure they are protected as well as possible for the return shipment.

Definition of the Return Policy

  • The product must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
  • The product must be like new or in at least the same condition as it was received.
  • The product must not be used in a way that diminishes its resale value.
  • The product must be packed and returned in the same way it was received.
  • The product’s sales packaging must be intact and unchanged.
  • Packaging materials and all included contents must be intact and unused.
  • No stickers, tape, markings, or other factors that diminish the resale value may be attached to the product or its sales packaging.

We do not accept shipments that are not delivered directly to our warehouse. We also do not accept returns sent with cash on delivery.

We are not responsible for any indirect costs incurred by the customer due to the return of an order. Customer returns are free of charge if you use the contract ID provided on the return form. For freight deliveries, we will arrange for a separate pickup.

We will refund the payment via bank transfer within 30 days of receiving the return. We will refund your payment if all returned products meet the cancellation conditions.

9. Claims

We recommend checking your shipment as soon as possible after receiving it. If you find any deficiencies, errors, or visible damage to the product and/or its sales packaging, you must notify our customer service without delay. All products have a six-month liability for defects in accordance with Chapter 5 of the Consumer Protection Act.

Missing Items

If your shipment is incomplete, please notify our customer service. We will promptly send the missing items if the delivery was incomplete.

Please note that we may ship products at different times or from different warehouses depending on the product’s status and origin. If your order includes pre-order items, they will be shipped later within the estimated timeframe we’ve provided. We may also deliver products from warehouses other than our main one. If a product is available in another warehouse, the product page will state “delivery from an intermediate warehouse.”

Damaged Packaging

If there is visible damage to the sales packaging or the product upon receiving the order, you must file a claim immediately with the transport company’s driver and our customer service. Additionally, please send a detailed explanation and any photos of the damaged product to our customer service.

Manufacturing Defect

If a manufacturing defect is found in a product within its warranty period, you are entitled to a new or equivalent product if the original product is out of stock. As a rule, we require the faulty product to be returned to our warehouse for further processing.

10. Dispute Resolution

The seller and the customer should primarily aim to resolve any potential disputes between them through negotiation. However, a consumer can submit a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board for resolution. Before submitting a case to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer must first contact the Consumer Advisory Services.

All disputes must be resolved in accordance with Finnish law.

11. Other

Expomatto reserves the right to change these terms of delivery. The customer must familiarize themselves with the valid terms of delivery before placing an order.

We handle all customer information with complete confidentiality. We do not disclose customer information to third parties.
