Use of Personal Data

Expomatto processes personal data as part of its business operations. Personal data is processed for the purchase and delivery of products and services, as well as for various contractual and marketing activities.

Marketing (addressed direct marketing) and customer relationship management are carried out based on the controller’s legitimate interest.

Expomatto uses personal data collected through consent solely for marketing purposes and to improve the customer experience in our store. We collect data so we can offer our customers appropriate offers and campaigns that suit their interests.

Expomatto Oy, Business ID 0696597-0, is the controller for the personal data processed. We do not sell or transfer personal data provided to us to third parties, which means you will not receive information from other companies based on the personal data you provide to us. Expomatto uses subcontractors and partners for the processing and storage of personal data, as well as for marketing on behalf of Expomatto.

The processing and storage of personal data take place primarily within the EU/EEA area. Data for sending newsletters is transferred to a subcontractor, The Rocket Science Group LLC (“Mailchimp”), in the United States, based on the Privacy Shield framework. More information about Mailchimp’s [privacy policy] and [terms of use]. In product review requests, some of your personal data (name & email address) and your order information (products ordered) are transferred to subcontractors stamped.io and Help Scout Inc, in the United States, based on the Privacy Shield framework. You consent to the transfer of personal data by subscribing to the newsletter and/or by accepting the product review request by accepting/registering an order in our system.

Due to the technical implementation of data processing, some data may be physically located on the servers or equipment of external subcontractors, from which it is processed through a technical connection.

Personal data is processed either based on the fulfillment of a contract (if we are fulfilling a contract with you), based on consent (for marketing or newsletters), or to fulfill Expomatto’s legal obligations, such as for accounting.

Personal data is stored for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. This means that personal data for marketing purposes will be deleted if the newsletter subscription is canceled or consent is withdrawn. Personal data related to orders or contracts with Expomatto will be deleted when the contract has been fulfilled and all obligations arising from the contract’s terms have been met. Personal data related to fulfilling Expomatto’s legal obligations will be deleted as soon as the legal obligations have been fulfilled.

You are not required to provide Expomatto with personal data, but it may be a prerequisite for the delivery/receipt of goods and services. You can withdraw your consent for the processing of personal data for marketing purposes at any time. The easiest way to withdraw your consent is to cancel the newsletter subscription at the bottom of each newsletter.

You have the right to file a complaint about the processing of your personal data with a data protection authority; see more at www.tietosuoja.fi.
